The Advocate

Summary
In the second sermon of the Abide series, Michael Howarth preaches from 1 John 2:1-14. Without Christ, we stand exposed, no help to ourselves, no advocate by our side, in shame. Helpless. Our punishment should be swift. Instead, through His death and resurrection, Jesus has become our advocate at the side of God the Father. His blood has satisfied God's wrath and cleansed us from our sin. Our lives are now to be characterized by obedience to His commands and love for one another.
