What is your mental picture of God? A stoic old man? An angry father figure who is cold or unapproachable? Many of us grew up with one of these gross characterizations that are still with us today. At Sacred Journey Church, we understand these perceptions because that is the way he has unfortunately often been portrayed.
However at Sacred Journey Church we have a different picture of God; one who is loving, compassionate and caring. Because of this, we are a people on a journey, a journey of faith and hope in search of a deeper and passionate connection with God. We do not pretend to have it all together, nor do we have all the answers. We are just a community growing towards God.
For this reason, a group of people passionate about leaving the stale paths of religion, came together to embark on blazing a new path for spiritual growth. The outcome of these diverse people with similar passions about faith, hope, authenticity and community was Sacred Journey Church of Providence.
